Thanks for the report! This is likely happening because the sniff is not aware of the nullsafe operator syntax in php 8. That can be fixed.

I think the more types the better, so I'd vote yes for this.

I have no particular desire to get named parameters. I think they can wait.

As with the return types issue, I think that the more types, the safer the code and the more clear the API, so I vote in favor of this.
