There is no touching driver in Debian, so maybe you need build an image containing touching driver to make it usable...
I burned the LicheeRV_Debian_hdmi_xr829.7z image and was able to run it. However, I do not see WiFi as an available option for network connectivity. I only see Bluetooth. How do I resolve this?
Nevermind, I was able to resolve the WiFi issue. I had to use the image 20211230_LicheeRV_debian_d1_hdmi_8723ds.7z instead.

The xr829 and 8723ds are different wireless module, download the image depends on your hardware module
Is there a debian image for 800x480 screen? I downloaded LicheeRV_Debian_86_480p and used boot_package_800480_10.fex to change the screen resolution. But the wifi is not working same with LicheeRV_debian_d1_hdmi_8723ds image did not work
I am trying to read a fex file from the link you provided (https://dl.sipeed.com/shareURL/LICHEE/D1/Lichee_RV/SDK/board) but none of them can be opened with a text editor. I thought fex files were human -readable and needed to be converted to bin for loading. Is there some way to read them that I need to know?
