Sometimes statusbar will hidden in iOS 10 on lockscreen.

I tested in iOS 10.1.1.

How to reproduce.

  1. Play music then lock device.
  2. Show lockscreen, often statusbar hidden. If statusbar is appearing unlock -> lock retry.

Approximately 50% can be reproduced this way.
