When I scroll down the messages in a chat, the list of chats on the left moves up and disappears

When I scroll down the messages in a chat, the list of chats on the left moves up and disappears. Also very often the message bar where I write messages does not show - I have to resize the window to see it.

I'm using it on Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS Release: 22.04 Codename: jammy

This is a case when the current chat is scrolled to the bottom - currently the sidebar is not even visible - I scrolled with the mouse wheel: image
