Day to day issues

Open sivaraam opened this issue 7 years ago • 2 comments

On a day to day basis I face at least two issues when it comes using my laptops,

  1. Eye irritation: As I use it all day long, irritation starts disturbing my eyes near the end of the day. Particularly when I wake up the next morning, I have a burning sensation in my eyes and it takes about an hour for them to go away. Regardless, I then start using my laptop again :)
  2. Back ache: This thing is not as disturbing as the first one but some times as I sit all day long using my laptop, I get back aches. I learned to get over it recently by doing exercises.

Let me come to the questions,

  1. Do you face any such issues in your day to day life?
  2. Regardless of the answer to the previous question, what would be your suggestions to avoid them?

Do you need glasses? You should get tested.

Invest in a good ergonomic chair. Try it out for a decent amount of time before you buy it. I found the HÅG Credo chair was best for me. I've had it 10 years, and it's as good as new, so it's high initial price equates to pennies per day over time.

That's interesting. I've wearing glasses for around 7 years or so! It seems I was actually over-stressing my eyes without giving it the proper rest it need (20-20-20 rule).

Invest in a good ergonomic chair.

Nice suggestion. Let me see what I could do about it.
