Template App would not come up on Heroku without errors

To solve the issue i added a ".gems" file containing the word sinatra

Heroku should update this sample to use a gemfile, since that's the recommendation.

See if this will help. I've added files, modified code, and some further steps to an README.rdoc in my fork. You can always do what you want with yours. But lets take it a step at a time on the pull requests shall we?
