for google photos, --time-zone override has no effect

When uploading with

INF Command: immich-go upload from-google-photos
INF  --time-zone=America/New_York

The --time-zone flag seems to have no effect. The local system timezone is still used when adjusting the UTC timestamp in the supplemental-metadata.json sidecar.

True, this is used when the capture is not taken from the google JSON, like when importing photos from a folder.
