Issues with VoodooPS2Controller.kext version 2.2.8

When I update to the latest version of VoodooPS2Controller 2.2.8 I start having keyboard issues. For instance a screen shot is command+shift+4. I can no longer do this shortcut on the left side of my keyboard with the latest version of the kext. Version 2.2.7 works perfectly. Is anyone else seeing issues like this with all of their kexts updated to the latest versions? I'm running the latest OpenCore 0.8.1 with Big Sur 11.6.7.
