Current Behavior
http://simplex.chat/contact links don't work on Android, I'm not sure whether this affects iOS.
Expected Behavior
Maybe this is by design but I feel like http links might be used by mistake for various reasons and it should just just work or at least open in browser like it does on desktop.
Steps To Reproduce
- Click a http from within the app or from an external app e.g. http://simplex.chat/contact#/?v=2-7&smp=smp%3A%2F%2F6iIcWT_dF2zN_w5xzZEY7HI2Prbh3ldP07YTyDexPjE%3D%40smp10.simplex.im%2FZ37e9fGHhZq33vCyKL1cV5YvDTj-HSTS%23%2F%3Fv%3D1-3%26dh%3DMCowBQYDK2VuAyEASbbo6LeYYwpsCBQHkkzZH1PtdibWtfKTTAZiSlmFVE0%253D%26srv%3Drb2pbttocvnbrngnwziclp2f4ckjq65kebafws6g4hy22cdaiv5dwjqd.onion
- Try to connect via link using current profile or using an incognito profile

I am having this problem and it's really hard to explain when you try to convince someone to use your app.
None of the links I sent or received were clickable ever.
So I am teaching everyone to dare to be interested to copy/paste the link in the search box, which I found the only thing to be working.
Half don't install it. 45% do but we never connect 5% of conversion, not sure if it's accurate but it's definitely a lot of effort
Also links should be shorter. Crazy long blob is scary to non tech people
The qr code needs 240dpi and the link takes 60% of a phone screen
Thank you

are you talking about a different issue? because this issue seems to be about http:// links, whereas https:// links should work. what platform are you using to send links? as the platform may be modifying the links in your case
Where I live, Line and Instagram chat are the most common platforms. I believe I sent links over Reddit private messages as well. I don't think links gets changed.
something I could test out in the future.
but people are very reluctant to try a new chat platform. and you send them a link that's huge and returns an error. people are just deleting the app.
I guess you write about the fact I might be commenting on the wrong issue, I did not noticed the http:// without the s
