"Related Pages" feature allows to reuse CMS-Pages in ProductDetails
Ciao ragazzi,
I added for my own purposes a new tab in the product details admin ui in order to link cms pages to the product. The end-user gets all related pages rendered in the respective product details page with its title and the entire content.
This way you write the content once and can use it separately in menus & products ...
Tanti saluti
Florian
PS: I'll wait with the pull request until no other db schema changes are in the pipeline ...
@fhebel can you elaborate on the use of attaching a page to a product? I still don't get the gist after your whole explanation
Hi @TATARPRO,
the idea is quite simple: My wife wanted to have the possibility to add recipes to the product description of some of our wines' product detail pages.
I didn't like the idea to write the recipes directly in the product description, so I thought about the possibility to write cms pages with all their advantages (can be linked in a menu, have a separate url) and include them in the product description.
If you still can't imagine then just visit our webshop for an example:

Best regards,
Florian
Ok so you mean that recipe was not written in the description but was loaded as a page into the description area? Because I see the page exactly being displayed below the page
@TATARPRO exactly
As improvement for the future it could be useful to be able to define the order if multiple pages are linked ...
@fhebel have you seen the tutorials which I made for simplcommerce? earlier on gitter I said I will be uploading them but some circumstances delayed me. Check them out here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYkskizTEFIwldVZjEOmcv6sFMWiYlIRb
@fhebel i think you should make a pull request for this than make it an issue
Hi @TATARPRO,
thank you very much for your request.
Given that this change has database schema modifications and there's still another pull request of mine (StripeV2 module #906 #928) in the queue having also db schema changes, I didn't want to mix things up.
Once @thiennn has time to discuss with me, which modifications I have to make to the StripeV2 module, I will resolve those in no time and prepare the pull request for this feature.
Thanks again for your patience.
Best regards,
Florian
