DM Search Bar fails sometimes (if conversation is sufficiently old?)

You can start typing a username, even a mutual's username in the DM search, and nothing will show. But if you go to the main Twitter search, search their name, and press the DM button, you will see the conversation. This appears to be related to the recency of the conversation.
