Notifications from twitter.com/notifications cannot open in a new tab

On the notifications page, you can click on any of the sections:

And it will take you to the relevant tweet. But middle-clicking or CTRL+clicking on any will bring up https://twitter.com/home, instead of the relevant tweet. You also cannot context click to open in new tab.

unless I'm misremembering, I think this is a regression some time in the last few months and it used to work.

As Sean points out this does work, but only one some kinds of notifications. Other kinds it takes it to the twitter.com/home page.
