Cannot activate the plugin

Hi, I did everything mentioned, but couldn't get past the "Activate the plugin by adding the following code to your JavaScript file." point.

I'm using a bootstrap template and even when I added this into js file, nothing happened. Could you please share more info how to use your code for not-advanced users?
