Capture and play sound

Hey! Awesome software! I use it with the HDMI capture USB stick and a ROKU connected to it. VLC is too slow and Quicktime is awkward (it does not have a view mode, just record?) Would you consider adding sound pass-through? I would like to listen to what they say when I watch TV. :) That would be spectacular!

Hey, would it be hard to do?

@beazlr02 Hey Ross, would you be able to help me out here? I do not do ANY SWIFT programming and I am not sure if I want to open that can of worms. Would you happen to have a few spare cycles to maybe look into adding sound capture to this gem of a software? I would really appreciate!

@danielnowacki-priceline as an alternative you may want to look at OBS (also free and open source). It is has a slightly higher learning curve, but is popular amongst Twitch streamers.

Thanks for your response @ajmas - I tried OBS - it is a resource hog, makes my MBP literally HOT within. few minutes. I have forked QC and I am getting up to speed on Swift to put that sound passthrough in. I gotta admit - slow and painful process...
