Download stops

Possible bug: Download stops under lockscreen and when leaving app. Have to leave app and start again to resume download.

Windows Mobile 10 on Lumia 950.

The problem has 2 roots:

  • The background download service in Windows requires an url to register a background download even if the download itself might start a long time after submitted
  • Tidal track download urls seem to be valid for a certain limit of time (as far as I can tell)

So the current mitigation, is that download occurs within the background audio agent : as long as you play music from Tidal, your downloads continue to run.
