Pasting in CRLF mode adds extra empty lines

What happened?

When I paste text in CRLF mode extra empty lines are added. It adds more empty lines if the pasted text uses CRLF than if it uses just LF.

What are the steps to reproduce?

Copy some text in LF mode. Convert to CRLF mode. Paste the copied text and empty lines appear (see video linked above).

What is the expected behavior?

Not add empty lines that weren't there :-)
