Scanned pages should be saved in lossless format until exported to the target

Currently, scanned pages are saved in the selected target format (for example, JPG). Every time you edit the page (crop, annotate), it is re-saved in JPG, which reduces the quality and increases the file size.

Scanned pages should be saved in a lossless format to be modified without losing the quality. If the selected target format is lossy, scanned pages should be saved in a dedicated temporary folder until they are saved to the target and the scanned session/document is closed.

I use the following painful workaround now: Always scan as PNG, review, crop, and adjust. Then, open it in another photo editor, like MS Photo or MS Paint, and convert it to JPG or HEIF.
