Scrollbar obscures icons in main menu when collapsed

When there are a lot of menu items on the main menu in the Administrative section (CMS), a nifty scrollbar appears to indicate there is more to be seen, and allows me the control to bring that into view at will.

Works great when open because I can see when there's more content to scroll to, but when collapsed the icons bet a bit cramped in their little boxes by the scrollbar edging in on their turf. Everything still works fine though :)

Granted this will be rather OS dependent (size & appearance of said widget), but I don't believe it would be unavoidable to leave an allowance for a scroll bar.
