Motion detection ...again..!
I have prepared the mask image and copied into var/www/html and changed the setting in Motion mask to this setting var/www/html/motionmask.pmg.
However I am still getting too many false detection's from some trees and bushes that I thought I had painted out. That's one every minute or so.. The setting in Motion Mask does not stay there..is it supposed too? When I go back to Motion Settings again it had disappeared, even if I click the OK at the end of the Mask image box.
I used Gimp to paint the trees and bushes black and the rest of the image white. Is this right?
The setting shouldn't disappear. The file name you show above has some issues; first it doesn't start with a slash before var, second, the extension should be .pgm, not .pmg.
/var/www/html/motionmask.pgm
If that doesn't help, make sure you're following the instructions at https://elinux.org/RPi-Cam-Web-Interface#How_to_make_a_motion_mask_image precisely, particularly with the mask image dimensions.
