Pulse 2 Curtains not showing battery

Open TrialMaster opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

I have two curtains and two hubs. System is working much better with second hub. I am curious, there is supposed to be a battery sensor. I only have the disabled signal sensor. Be great to see battery levels in HA. Debug log sent via PM.

HACS Integration version v0.9.8

I have one curtain on each hub. 2 x Pulse 2 Hubs 2 x Drapery Versa Motors

Can you please check with the latest version. There was an issues with some earlier firmware on the devices that I thought was causing issues, so there were workarounds in the code. They have since been removed, so you should get the batter value (assuming the sensor is shown and enabled).

I also don't have any battery percentages (on version 0.9.9) for my pulse 2. They seem to have disappeared (this occurred a few months ago)

I'm running 0.9.9 of the integration and my hub is on 1.9.0. Blinds show battery in Home Assistant just fine, but curtains don't show it at all. The only other thing I notice is that for all devices the signal strength entity is unavailable.

I also tried removing and re-adding it just in case but still no battery for curtains.

To clarify, the signal strength entity is not just disabled (it is by default)?

If we had some traffic dumps we can probably look to add it. It'll be the New Year before there's a chance I'm likely to have time, but happy to accept a PR.

Oh, I did not realise this! Enabling that now to see if I can find a reason why one of my blinds likes to have a nap at certain times.

If you can let me know how to do this I would be more than happy to get a dump for you.

I've had the same issue. I noted if I go into the entity settings (for the battery level itself), it showed a message saying the entity was disabled in the config (whatever that means).

I was able to get it working again by going HA Settings > Devices > Automate > clicking on the three dots to the right of the hub, then clicking "Disable", then clicking "Enable" again.

Hope this helps someone...
