Broken docker build

Since debian has removed software-properties-common from the main repos the docker container build will fail.

Any reason why you aren't running alpine as the base image ? I started looking at creating a container image before I noticed that you already had one, but if you want help \ testing help to get it running on alpine I can do that.

I worked around the issue with the current image by adding the unstable repo to the sources.list and making it priority -1000 but haven't yet checked if there are other dependency issues.

Well, not really, Alpine is allright, by the way, I believe mute (which is in fact the lightweight version of noisebuster, with less features, but keeping the main one which is....recording the noise events) should normally be based on alpine, I have to double check.
