Bug description

When trying to share a contact from the Phone or Contacts app in iOS, the contact card cannot be attached and sent via Signal. It works well from within Signal, but not from outside.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the Phone or Contacts app in iOS and select a contact.
  2. Tap "Share Contact".
  3. Select Signal as your option.

Actual result: When entering Signal to select who you are going to send that contact card, an error prompt appears with only an option to "Cancel": Unable to Prepare Attachment. Attachment is empty.

Expected result: When entering Signal to select who you are going to send that contact card, it should let you select that contact and send the contact card.

I’m seeing the same thing. Doesn’t seem to matter how much information I select to share with signal it’s always the same error.

On the iPhone the bug is solved, on the iPad it is still an active bug. Even from within Signal on the iPad it is not possible to send a contact as the send arrow is missing.
