Bug description

Edit: First I thought that bug 1 exists only for users with a magnified iOS view. But bug 1 exists for everyone with default iOS view settings. This isn't just limited to users with a magnified iOS view.

I think that this exists since the introduction of calls tab at the bottom of the app.

The listed conversations below the conversations search bar results are misplaced. Also scrolling in the top area where the search bar hides and appears the animation is not fluid and jumps a little.

Steps to reproduce

Bug 1

  • Scroll down to any point in conversations
  • Press the iOS status bar to go to the top of conversations

Bug 2

This bug is very likely related to bug 1.

I have these preferences that deviate from the default view preferences in iOS to allow better readability for my eyes:

287684763-e6720d9b-04bf-4380-b17f-f61e561fe8a1287684796-690b98e9-5a0e-443c-8ffa-15464e6102b8

  • Search your conversations

Actual result:

There is a gap between the search bar and listed conversations.

Expected result:

There should be no gap between the search bar and listed conversations.

Still present with iOS 17.5 Signal 7.10 (93)

This annoying bug exists for every iOS Signal user and should be easily solvable.
