Wikipedia animated iOS stickers crash Signal

Bug description

Describe here the issue that you are experiencing. When I try to send an animated sticker from the sticker pack that comes with the Wikipedia mobile app, from the iOS keyboard, Signal crashes. The ones that do not move do not crash Signal. Other animated packs, such as the fitness ones from Apple, do not crash Signal. This behavior is new (although, I'm not sure how new), as it didn't happen a few releases back.

Steps to reproduce

• using hyphens as bullet points

• list the steps

• that reproduce the bug

• Install Wikipedia Sticker Pack

• open Signal, and go to a conversation

• click on the emojis button on the iOS keyboard, and click on the stickers button. Select an animated Wikipedia sticker

• Voila: Signal crashes

Actual result: Describe here what happens after you run the steps above (i.e. the buggy behaviour)

Signal crashes.

Expected result: Describe here what should happen after you run the steps above (i.e. what would be the correct behaviour)

Signal should not crash, and should send the sticker instead.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I've gone ahead and filed this with our engineering team. While our engineers are working on a fix, I unfortunately can't give out a specific timeline for a resolution.
