I experience the same issue on my iPhone 14 Pro. Model: MQ0E3LL/A. My friend who has the 256GB model does not experience the issue. As a temporary fix if you change the Screen Lock Timeout to anything other than "immediately" the issue does not persist. This issue has existed on my phone since I got the iPhone 14 pro. At first I thought it was just a glitch with the Always on Display, but I started to realize that it only happens with Signal. It is purely related to AoD being enabled and using a PIN/FaceID in Signal with an immediate lockout. Any of those settings being different will result in the issue not being present.
