The message was nothing but two paragraphs of text. There is no problem with the network. Both phone and laptop are connected through a wire on the same switch and router. All other network traffic is going smoothly. This problem of long "pending" times on desktop signal just started for me, yesterday.
Desktop message took 9 minutes to go.
