Bug description

So I initially tried to sign in on my iOS device thinking I was still signed in trying to recover my account. After entering the number of my main device a pixel seven, I discovered that was not the right number that I used and it prompted me to create a new account. I did not progress on the iOS device.

Instead I proceeded to create an account on my pixel, set a pin and message someone on it.

Couple hours later I then go back to try and sign into that same new account on the iOS device. The following happened:

  1. No matter what I did it kept telling me that there was an error and it could not continue. It appears that it got stuck or was hung at the account creation screen and it would not move past it even when I force close the app. No matter what I did it just kept Force closing

  2. the only way to fix this was to delete the app and re-download it. Thanks iOS.

  3. Upon installation I attempted to sign in however did not give me a sign an option it looked almost as though it was forcing me to create a new account so I entered the same number expecting to either be offered A pin screen to enter the pin that I set or offer me a QR code to scan with my pixel. It did ask me to create a pin but it gave no indication that this was the same pin I created

  4. It said that it's going to send me a 2FA code to verify me. Except it never sent anything to my device, _the pixel or the iphone_

  5. It just signed me right in. It showed me my chat history and the username that I set.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but on iOS you're not able to simply delete app data like u can on android you have to delete the entire app which also includes all the data. Since this is what I did in order to get past the stuck screen how in the world was it able to sign me in without sending me a 2FA code?

Do you happen to have logs for iOS and android devices you could share?
