Not showing user avatar on notifications

Bug description
I think the picture explains it. Its just nothing/empty where an user avatar/group avatar is supposed to be. OneUI changed their notification system appearance with OneUI 7. Ever since updating the OS its been bugged.

I'm facing the same issue. Samsung Galaxy S25, OneUI 7, Signal 7.32.2
Great then its def an OneUI 7 thing and not device related. Hopefully the devs of signal looks over this soon and fixes it 👍
edit: also updated signal to 7.32.2 on S24+, issue persists.
I have the same issue on my s25 ultra with oneui 7. I discovered that turning off "Show app icon in notifications" fixes it. However, this is not a permanent solution because notifications from all other apps will look worse.
Maybe not relevant to signal particularly, but I have the same issue of avatars not appearing on Plus Messenger (Telegram client) on S25 Ultra as well. Maybe it's an issue in OneUI 7?

Telegram works fine for me in OneUI7. Same with every other app also working. Just Signal is busted.
I have a new S25 and see the same behavior on signal and molly. My old Pixel 7 worked fine.

Same issue here on a S23 I just upgraded to OneUI 7. Definitely related to OneUI 7

Thanks folks, still looking into this. Can you confirm for us it's only in the notification you aren't seeing an avatar? But in app it loads fine?
Only affects notifications for me.
Curiously, I see the profile picture in the notification during signal calls.
Uhm, Im on Signal 7.44.1 and its working again. It has not worked for months at this point (6 months). Idk if devs fixed it or what
