I have copied an image from a random website and pasted it in a chat, it worked fine for me. A video of your testing will give better clarity
I've found that when copying images from Google Images, or, more generally, a web browser, I will end up having to copy the image a second time, and after attempting to paste it into Signal my clipboard will be cleared.
It does, however, work if you try to copy the image again.

We are unable to reproduce do this using a couple different browsers and different websites. What screen are you pasting on and what browser are you copying from? And how are you pasting? I'm pasting from gboard.
- Calyx OS
- Open 9gag on firefox beta (because this reproduces it 100% of the time for me)
- Copy an image from the feed. Note that the image is displayed in the bottom left, indicating the image was copied to the clipboard
- Send firefox to background with the "swipe up"
- Open signal
- Navigate to a chat
- Open gboard clipboard
- Notice the image in the clipboard
- Click the image to attempt to paste it into chat
- gboard says "Signal does not support image pasting here"
Is this a keyboard thing? I could also reproduce with a slightly different setup.

Steps:
- opend 9gag from FF and choose an image
- long press and select "copy image"
- switch to a signal chat
- long press on input field and paste
- get a notification "Signal has inserted information from the clipboard"
- actually, no image has been attached

Usually i use the "share image"-flow from the context menu, what is working as expected.
I can only repro this with Firefox beta, using chrome on the same image from 9gag works fine.
I'm using latest Firefox 136.0.2

Not able to paste the image from clipboard via any method.
Tried different keyboards, different browsers, through context menu (tap and hold paste), nothing works.
