Bug description

I'm getting a popup saying "Something went wrong with your username, it's no longer assigned to your account. You can try and set it again or choose a new one."

Context: Yesterday, I transferred signal from an android phone to this android phone. Both phones have signal 7.28.4 installed. First attempt failed, second was successful. This morning, after switching off airplane mode, I got the popup. I did not try to fix it yet, as i found a similar bug report in the signal-desktop issues. However, I am not using signal desktop, nor do i have any linked devices.

To anybody else running into this: Make sure to use the same phone number as registered with your account. The migration process is not made for migrating to a new phone with a new number, nor does it safeguard against it, causing this highly confusing error message. Instead, migrate the account to the new phone number first and then only do the phone migration.

Note that there may be other bugs which are causing this issue.
