Bug description

Signal interprets video metadata incorrectly and as a result displays different information on their video player like showing negative time and also shows a different file size. similar to https://github.com/signalapp/Signal-Android/issues/9998 but with videos. i have included the mediainfo output for the file (link is at the bottom of this issue under debug log link) and have discovered that signal seems to be getting the duration from the "audio duration":

...
Duration: 10 s 275 ms
...

not sure about the size though.

Steps to reproduce

  • play/edit specific video
  • see negative time
  • see incorrect file size
  • download and see that the downloaded file does not suffer from these issues.

Actual result: not normal time and video file size Expected result: normal time and video file size
