Bug description

I had a testing version of Signal installed via firebase. I wished to return to the stable release. Attempting to install Signal messenger from Signal.org and from signal.org/android/apk/ using Obtainium and I get a failed install from either with the error saying it is an Invalid Package [Signal]

Attempting to install the APK from the browser on my phone I get the similar error "App not installed as package appears to be invalid"

I don't wish to install the package from the google play store.

Steps to reproduce

  • Go to signal.org/android/apk in Mull
  • Download the apk
  • Open the APK
  • Do you want to install this app? Yes and Allow Network Permission
  • click Install

Actual result: Describe here what happens after you run the steps above (i.e. the buggy behaviour) Signal App not installed as package appears to be invalid Expected result: Describe here what should happen after you run the steps above (i.e. what would be the correct behaviour) App should install

Screenshots

Device info

Device: Pixel 4a Android version: GrapheneOS Android 13 Signal version: Stable 7.2.4 from signal.org/android/apk
