Bug description

When calling using a 4G connection, the callee sometimes can't hear me although i can hear the callee. It used happen every single time that i placed a call, but ever since the callee cleared the cache of the signal app the issue has become less frequent. The callee has tried to toggle speaker mode on and when experiencing the issue but to no avail.

Steps to reproduce

  • Place a signal call while connected to a 4G network (WIFI always works)

Actual result:

  • When the callee answers the callee sometimes won't be able to hear me.
  • I redial and it usually works as normal although sometimes i need to redial a second time in order for the callee to hear me. Expected result:
  • Every time i Place a call I'd obviously expect to be able to have a two-way conversation.

I have the same problem, but it does not depend on the network type. Several years ago I had the same problem in another application and on another device. After the call starts, sometimes the companion doesn’t hear me, sometimes I don’t hear him, after the call again, it’s likely. This problem is also present during a video call.

@knopkakhua I've now I've also experienced this while on WIFI. Moreover I've also experienced this with an additional callee, previously I'd only experienced it while calling a specific person.

@nicholas-signal You previously suggested i should post logs when i first mentioned this on an old "issue", so please take a look at the logs if you got the time.
