Flock contacts not visible on a HTC device

hi! i was really glad to se Flock coming, it was just what i needed. but i had some fears that proved to be legitimate.

i have a HTC One SV device with stock android 4.2.2 and had problems with other third party contacts apps in the past (cardDAV) as i have now problems with Flock. i could successfully import the contacts from google contacts account (had to made one, cos i don't use google services) but can not see/call my Flock contacts in the dialer or people app. i belive this is probably because of this HTC bug/feature: http://dmfs.org/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Sense_issue

is there any way to make Flock work with HTC android 4.1-4.2 devices? of course it's unrealistic to expect HTC corporation to solve the problem that they made. :(

To verify that it is indeed this bug, someone would have to rebuild the app removing the EditSchema (as in, almost the whole file) from https://github.com/WhisperSystems/Flock/blob/master/flock/src/main/res/xml/contacts_structure.xml

This would allow you to see, but not edit, contacts synced with Flock.

As I don't currently have a build environment, could someone else please attach a test build here?

Hey @bungabunga thanks for the report. From the research provided by @phryneas and some I've done on my own it seems like this isn't necessarily a bug in the Flock code base. However I would like to see this resolved so I'll mark as "need more info" for now and do some further research when time permits.
