Implement a workaround to enable backup stage as describe in https://jira.mariadb.org/browse/MDEV-25571 This would be done by running a new connection not from the global pool if MariaDB >= 10.4 BACKUP STAGE START; BACKUP STAGE BLOCK_DDL; external logical dump command BACKUP STAGE END
