Open arnoldoree opened this issue 5 months ago • 1 comments

Short description

Where a session is saved with tab groups enabled, and then restored to the same browser profile, the tab groups will be restored as duplicates.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start browser with clean profile
  2. Install Tab Session Manager
  3. Setup extra Chrome extension for saving tab groups
  4. Create tab groups
  5. Save session
  6. Exit browser
  7. Return to browser
  8. Restore Tab Session Manger session

Expected result

  • It should be detected that the same tab groups exist in the profile and you should be given the option to:
    • Merge
    • Overwrite
    • Duplicate

Actual result

  • The saved Tab groups are restored as duplicates

Platform information

  • Platform (OS): Debian 12 Linux (KDE Plasma)
  • Version of browser: Chromium
  • Version of Tab Session Manager: 7.1.0

I like to see this too. I'm having the same problem, where a bug in Maxthon restores with less tabs than saved. (Saved shows 180 tabs, restore only 160 tabs). I want to restore from a old saved version but merge instead of duplicate.
