Tab Session Manager Version 7.1.1 Firefox Windows 7 not working, no sessions. Closed and reopened firefox many times. It used to work, haven't checked in a while. FYI the way I recovered tabs was history > Recently Closed Windows

Is it the same issue #1502 ? Is it only for import? Or in the Tab Session Manager?

No, nothing like that. I have nothing to import.

I face the same issue. My session just disappeared (and I can no longer save them)

Same here. My third or forth or more bug report over many months! The result of the eternal --like a heroin addict looking for a new fix-- update mania I'm really getting tired of as all it does too often is "Verschlimmbessern" what worked! KISS principle!!! So far and in typical fashion the author, although want's "donations" demonstrates a clear "IDGAS" attitude!

If an author is unwilling to maintain and support the functionality of his product, then it should be pulled, cancelled, revoked and not continued to be published!!!

Mr 411621 you sound pretty entitled. Ok, you are unhappy, understandable. But to expect a single developer to be every day on this project to satisfy people like you..... well.....

Not every developer has time to constantly follow a project. If you'd check the history, seniori is coming back regularly to provide fix, every few months.
That's what probably he can afford, to keep mental sanity (instead of prostituting for free to ungrateful users). Why do you critizize that?

You can try to debug and provide some info, or help, or PullRequests, instead of sitting comfortably waiting to be served with your arms crossed.

Picdor13, No not entitled. But yes, unhappy is one, as I expect responsible professionalism and most of all communication but not for by now at least almost a year silence and non-reaction. As you can see I'm not alone. This was a product that always worked and all of a sudden stopped after an "update" and so did the responses from the author, which apparently is you.

It is a classic [show]case of what the German word concoction calls "verschlimmbessern"'*****. The ever progressing disease in this industry and nowadays in everything that has to do with any form of technology; updates, updates, more updates, like a heroin addict looking for his next fix, more updates and incompatibility more updates more incompatibilities...things that work before don't work anymore features and functions are added nobody asked for at the blame game it's always someone else's fault.

Hence my comment about the "KISS principle" coined by Kelly Johnson, chief engineer and designer of the Lockheed Martin SR 71 and U-2 spy plane.

On a humorous note, imagine you have one of these new rolling computer systems, referred to in the last 125+ years as "automobile". Imagine to start you have to every time go through a checklist like an airline pilot. Then you have to configure it for driving away. Approaching a destination you have to reconfigure and go through a checklist for arrival.... Then the board computer will ask you "where you want to go today" followed by "are you sure" which you will have to confirm otherwise the car won't move. To drive you have to put it first in reverse to go forward and if you want to make a left turn you have to turn the steering wheel right. In the updated model the software is coded that the left most petal is the accelerator at the rightmost the brakes... All other functions are rearranged on the big touchscreen with added four dozen other but unrequested functions, menus and sub-menus you never asked for. The recent update and some old bugs were eliminated but plenty of new ones introduced. Every other day there is another issue of something not working. Now and then so often it just won't go where you wanted to go, sometimes it will only go reverse sometimes only forward...

How long would you put up with a car like that?

My point is this: "If it ain't broke don't fix it!" If you can't or won't fix it then take it down. There is way too much abandon stuff out there anyway that once started as a good idea. Otherwise you're just disrespectfully wasting other people's time for nothing over and over. At the end of all you hurt your reputation and credibility.

Dr. 411621

*****"verschlimmbessern" is the concoction of two German words: Verschlimmern: making something worse, something getting worse. [Ver]bessern: improving something, making something better. Thus, "verschlimmbessern"; making something worse by constantly "improving" it until it's useless.
