As of firefox 115.2.1esr, sessions won't open
Short description
After upgrading to 115.2.1esr clicking on open on a saved session does nothing.
Chaning the preferences to open session when the browser starts, crashes firefox on startup.
Steps to reproduce
- Upgrade to 115.2.1esr
- Start browser
- select any session to restore
Expected result
Saved session restored
Actual result
Nothing happens.
You can list the tabs in the saved session and open each one individually.
Platform information
- Platform (OS): Gentoo
- Version of browser: 115.2.1esr
- Version of Tab Session Manager: 6.12.2
Additional context
I just upgraded to Waterfox Gen 6 and it is based on ESR 115.3.1 and now I cannot open a full session to restore.
At best, I can only open the top window in the session file.
And, to be specific, when I try to open a previous session, only the top window will load up with tabs. None of the other windows open. And I have to carefully create new windows and delete the previous top in the session file to open them again.
OS: Windows 11 Browser: Waterfox 6.03 (Firefox ESR 115.3.1) Tab Session Manager: 6.12.2
I'm having the same issue with Firefox (currently 118.0.1, but this has been happening for some time). The sessions seem to be recorded by TSM but they will never open.
Open session does nothing in the end.
There are some errors on the console:
FF 123.0.1 Session file won't open either. Same as OP described. Maybe because I have 400+ tabs?
UPDATE: After hours of tinkering, it never crossed my mind to try to open session in current window. I was finally able to get my tabs opened but now have to go through them and close a bunch.
It might be that the author has the time to update BAKERS.md only. Maybe he doesn't get notified of the issues.
