Lost all saved sessions when I only deleted 6.

So I had at least 15 saved sessions and decided to do some clean up as I have my sessions saved by exiting the browser. I deleted 6 of those saved sessions and closed the tab session manager window. When I opened up tab session manager all my saved sessions were deleted including the user saved sessions. Also i was watching a YouTube video when this happened. I'm really mad as I don't know why it deleted all my sessions and I can't find any of my user saved sessions either .It's all gone!

By the way closing the browser and reopening it does not help. Restarting the computer does not help. I don't know what happened.

@Haiyami I'm sorry to bother you. I have encountered a similar problem. Can you please tell me if you have solved this problem?

So it's a profile error from what I realize. In Firefox or chromium, sometimes your browser's profile corrupts and creates a new profile, thus losing saved seasions. You might be able to retrieve any saved sessions made 24 hours before the issue happened if you dig through the profile folder, or the actual saved sessions directory folder. I usually had automatic session backup on but I wasn't able to retrieve those specific 15 sessions backed up as they weren't saving or staying in the list. If you still are at least have open tabs make a user backup in another folder of any currently opened tab and then Uninstaller the browsers extension, clear browsers cache and cookies and then restart the computer and reinstall the extension. This should fix the issue of browser sessions not auto saving and allowing you to save and re-import multipe user saved sessions in the list. What I usually do now is with any auto save and user saved sessions I usually just make a copy of the saved sessions folder on a thumb drive or separate hard drive that is not it's default location, in case the issue happens again. I have ways to prevent the issue from happening in the future, but retrieving any saved sessions from the saved sessions directory folder feels like it's up to luck.

The problem isn't fully fixed. Like half the problem still remains where tab session manager may stop saving user saved sessions or auto saved sessions and not allowing more than one saved session to appear. Also when fixing thr problem if your saved sessions directory folder has files in it. Cut and paste the whole folder somewhere else from the default location. For me the root directory folder was /downloads/saved sessions. I removed the saved sessions folder to another computer so there was no trace of it in the downloads directory. I Uninstaller the extension, restarted the computer and then reinstalled the extension. I redid the preferences in tab session manager of specifying the root directory folder back to /downloads. I then reset the auto save function specifications and then closed and opened the browser. When I confirmed an auto session had saved I then made multiple test user saves to make sure the extension had fully reset. Once it did I moved all the files from the backed up saved sessions folder to the new saved sessions folder. Another note is do not overwrite the new saved sessions folder with the old one as the actual old directory folder might have some bad data and may corrupt the location.. Just pull any old saved session files into the new directory.

This is the best advise I give. But there is not much one can do when a corrupt browser profile happens in retrieving lost data. I had to give up on that and start over. But I have learned my lesson on not falling victim to the extension error as the issue hasn't actually been resolved. The only thing that can be done is preventing future instances from affecting you.

@Haiyami Thank you so much for the advice. But unfortunately, it's probably too late, a lot of time has passed. I had the backup setting set to save, but for some reason the folder specified for saving was not there and is not there. I've searched through all the folders, including those associated with Chrome, I think I even found folders associated with Tab Session Manager, but I haven't found the saved session file. I'm afraid that most likely the app has erased or overwritten the old session file and because I had the profile synchronization setting set, the app also erased the save that was associated with the profile. I turned off all the auto save settings in the hope that I could still restore. Apparently this extension only works properly in Firefox. But yeah, lesson learned. I've temporarily switched to another extension for now. In general, it's very frustrating, so much important information lost.

Your chrome profile probably corrupted and erased the folder and a bunch of other chrome settings like cache, etc and then created a new chrome profile. I would suggest migrating over to using Brave browser as I have also read the problem doesn't occur in Brave.
