chadwm Thrown back to the display manager when building chadwm

Do others have also the issue that if we build Chadwm we get thrown back to the display manager - SDDM in my case?

no idea, i dont use sddm so cant help with it

it is unrelated to sddm

sddm just saves us from a crash

same happens on lightdm

did you try to make and sudo make install chadwm recently?

But end result is a stable chadwm after we log back in

SOLVED for me:

Ok, today Dec 14, this is working again, with kernel Linux 6.12.4-arch1-1 it's working, with kernel Linux 6.12.4-zen1-1-zen it's working.

I have had installed LTS kernel until today, because no fail when rebuild chadwm. I'm having this issue since 6.10.10.arch1-1 (last working kernel for me). Today i try actual, and it's working again.

Note: I'm using ARCOLINUX, xfce and chadwm desktops, with sddm login manager.

I, too, can't replicate this for kernel 6.12.3-zen1-1-zen. I used to have this issue a couple kernels back. @erikdubois is it fixed for you as well? Should we close this?
