LED lamp with 2.4 GHz driver not reacting to milight_hub

Hi all,

I'm totally new to the topic of domotics and have not a lot of electronics experience apart from some tests with Arduinos.

On the search for a lamp for my living room that I could control through Home Assistant I found a model controlled by a 2.4GHz remote. Researching on the possibility of controlling it I landed on this project and decided to give it a try, so I bought the lamp and a couple of D1 minis and NRF24L01+.

The situation is:

  • The lamp works with its remote
  • The lamp won't react to the web interface of milight_hub. I can't even pair it.
  • I have checked the troubleshooting guide
  • There is no reference on the remote or the LED driver that they are manufactured by Milight
  • The web interface of milight_hub won't show any packet when sniffing and pushing some buttons on the remote of the lamp
  • Two different D1 Minis with minilight_hub flashed can see the packets sent by the other, so wiring, installation and configuration should be OK

Before going into any deeper details, the most obvious question is: how can I check whether the remote controller is compatible with milight_hub?

I include a picture of the remote controller and the LED driver of the lamp:

Thanks a lot in advance!

I'm pretty sure it won't work for you. MiLight uses own proprietary protocol... If it's not made by Milight, this hub won't talk to it.
