Netkit support
Feature Request
With cilium 1.16 netkit support is launched. Regarding to cilium this needs kernel 6.8 or higher. Would be nice, if Talos supports this soon.
Description
Netkit has some advantages regarding performance and don‘t use veth anymore.

Talos uses LTS kernel, so the next LTS is usually released at the end of year, so 2025
Now that Talos v1.9 has a recent kernel, I tried enabling netkit support with Cilium. It works without issues on the Kubernetes side, but for some reason nodestatuses.kubernetes.talos.dev is not populated anymore on any of the nodes, and thus Talos won't ever recognize the nodes as ready. talosctl health passes with no problems though. I'll open a separate issue for this.
As this leaving problem is handled in #10163 now, I close this.
