Doesn't work with Chromium too.  But Microsoft Teams works.  ----- Seems like anything other than `Input from` in the last entry won't work.

Could you try backing up alsa settings/config prior to running this script in a file, and then restoring it after setting up the mic? I faced the scenario I mentioned...
