Creating a war file instead of a stanalone jar

How hard would it be to create a war instead of a jar? I want Poli to run along side other war files within a tomcat server.

The application is mainly a spring boot app. I found two links on how to generate a war file for it.

I haven't tried them yet. It looks like you need to modify the java source and pom file accordingly and then build the war.
