Messaging for Web compatibility

I have successfully used the component on the Embedded Message Deployment for a Live Chat implementation. Now, Salesforce is deprecating it for Messaging for Web. I don't think this component can be used anymore and I'd like to know if anybody has found another strategy to achieve the same features.
