Further clarification on wiring
Currently I have a Pi4 w/ FTDI cable connected to the Elite 64-W's COM port. With this I'm able to connect to Wintex (PlayOnLinux) in PC-Com mode. I'd really like to use pialarm with my Elite 64.
However I'm really confused with the wiring diagram page. The Pi4 is powered with a USBC cable, so only worried with wiring for communication. I'm not very familar with the usual notation when it comes to raspberry pis etc, so would appreciate any handholding. Photos would really help.
So far this is what I've figured out:
| COM1 | Pi4 | |
|---|---|---|
| 12V | ||
| X | ||
| 0V | <- 15k -> | Pin 39 |
| Tx | Pin 8 | |
| Rx | Pin 10 |
| COM2 | Pi4 | |
|---|---|---|
| 12V | ||
| X | ||
| 0V | <- 15k -> | Pin 30 |
| Tx | Pin 24 | |
| Rx | Pin 28 |
| Digi Modem | Pi4 |
|---|---|
| Red Wire | |
| 12V | |
| X | |

| X | |
| Tx | Pin 27 |
| Rx | Pin 29 |

For reference, for dummies like myself, here's a pinout diagram.

All this being said I'm not able to get pialarm to connect with Wintex. Again Wintex was able to communicate with my Elite 64 using a FTDI cable in PC-COM mode. What I've done is create a new account in Wintex with the settings as described in the README, run pialarm, and connected via network. I'm asked to select if I want to send or receive unknown data, to which I press receive. But then it just looks all like dummy data, not data from my panel!
