I have an issue to report about the results for the following input:

इच्छाकारेण संदिसह भगवन्‌ !
इरियावहियं पडिक्कमामि ?
इच्छं,
इच्छामि पडिक्कमिउं

Thanks for this gr8 Tool. Even though I am not a developer wish to learn more about the logics used here and contribute to make this tool better.... I am extensively going to use this toll for cross verifications. Kindly accept my apology, if I may post wrong question due to my limited understanding about the principles of calculation of Matras, LG etc. The issue is:

Line 1: icchākāreṇa saṃdisaha bhagavan (इच्छाकारेण संदिसह भगवन् ) Line 2: iriyāvahiyaṃ paḍikkamāmi ? (इरियावहियं पडिक्कमामि ?) Line 3: icchaṃ (इच्छं ) Line 4: icchāmi paḍikkamiuṃ (इच्छामि पडिक्कमिउं) Scanning the input GGGGLGLLLLLL LLGLLGLGLGL GL GGLLGLLG Line 1 - वन् should be G or LL...herein calculation seems to be only 1L Line 3 - इच्छं - GL- The last characters with Anuswar is supposed to be G

Thank you, glad you find the tool helpful and sorry for all the bugs :)

For this question, it is because of the next line starting with a vowel — no matter where you put the line breaks or what punctuation you use, writing "भगवन्‌ ! इरियावहियं" is treated as equivalent to writing "भगवनिरियावहियं", and similarly for "इच्छं, इच्छामि" vs "इच्छमिच्छामि".

Is this wrong? Is your example in some specific metre, that should have been recognized (by treating वन् as G, and इच्छं as GG)?

Shriman Shreevatsaji

Thank you very much for writing back to me and help me understand.

I am also interested in understanding the coding part so as I can do some offline R & D and can contrubute to this work.

Let me know if there is some scope.

Thanks and regards Doshi Kalpesh Rasiklal 9920902914
