NIP-46 bunker failure

Open umk0m1qk opened this issue 7 months ago • 5 comments

Bunker sign-in fails when using Amber via relay.nsec.app. Amber detects initial incoming request. Basic actions (default) permissions are granted. Shopstr reports "bunker sign-in failed." Reproducible with the following:

shopstr.store Amber 3.3.0 Vanadium 135.0.7049.111 or Firefox for Mobile 137.0.2

Thank you for pointing this out; will test this further.

@umk0m1qk Roughly how long would you say it took to approve the sign-in requests? My first assumption is that it was a timeout error, but it could be related to something else if that wasn't the case.

Less than 5 seconds.

I had the same problem today, but I got the extension to work.

I tested it on my end as well and it failed on the initial inpout, but with the same bunker URI I tried signing in again and it worked right away. Definitely an issue to resolve here, but you can try that as a work around for the moment. Will get further into this!

To clarify, are you both granting the default (basic) permission or selecting fully trust? @calvadev @Marc26z

In more than 50 attempts, I have not been able to sign in when granting the default Amber permission. I get bunker sign-in failed every time. Same experience on Vanadium and Firefox.

If I select "fully trust" on the initial incoming request, then it sometimes works. Maybe 50% of the time. Still very unreliably with both Firefox and Vanadium.
