Can not save setting.

That's not enough information for me to help you or even determine if this is valid issue. I cannot reproduce it; saving settings works fine on 1.3 and the latest revisions as far as I can tell.

The most common cause on Windows for settings to not be saved is when GBE+ can't find its gbe.ini file. Make sure that's in the same folder as the executable. Make sure you have write access to that folder as well. If need be copy+paste the latest gbe.ini file to make sure everything is not corrupted.

But, without any details, there's nothing I can do.

I mean I want to save the keyboard settings. I need to reset it each time.

You still haven't provided any information about how you setup GBE+, specifically the gbe.ini file. Make sure that file is next to the executable. That file saves all the configuration data (including keyboard controls). If GBE+ cannot read this file, it loads default values, which would explain why you cannot save anything. If GBE+ cannot write to this file (e.g. if the file is Read-Only, or you're trying to run it from a ZIP file without extracting it first) your settings won't get saved either.

At any rate, I haven't been able to reproduce any issues saving keyboard settings in GBE+. I've been testing two other machines (Windows and Linux) and recently a third one.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. unzip "gbe_plus_1.3.7z" to any directory.
  2. create "gbe.ini" file in executable directory.
  3. drag & drop gba file to "gbe_plus_qt.exe".
  4. launch GBE+.

Detail

console shows logs. GBE+ 1.3 [Qt] GBE::Error - Could not open gbe.ini configuration file. Check file path or permissions. GBE::Error - Could not open font file ./data/fonts/block_font.bin. Check file path or permissions. I also tried latest gbe.ini file, but nothing changed. gbe.ini is "not" Read-Only.

This doesn't occur a. launch GBE+ => "File>Open..." => selet file. b. dragged & dropped gba file exists in executable directory.

Enviroment

Windows 8.1 x64 GBE+ 1.3 Program path:"C:\Apps\Emulator\gbe-plus" Configuration file path:"C:\Apps\Emulator\gbe-plus\gbe.ini" Font file path(nothing changed):"C:\Apps\Emulator\gbe-plus\data\fonts\block_font.bin"
