please try and clear the nginx cache by removing everything from `/var/cache/nginx/ and try again... I've had good luck with that. but the issue does feel like a asset building...
can you try to rebuild the vite assets and see if it gives you any issues?

Root cause: `$avatar->media_path` contains a cloud path like `cache/avatars/123/avatar_abc123.jpg` once it reaches that codepath. Storing the media_path before the upload to make the delete succcessful.

As an advocate for "shared services"... wonderful idea. I'll host a mCaptcha node from day 0, I'd love to have a list of known good mCaptcha endpoints for mastodon/fediverse usage....
